The following qualifications can be
obtained:
Excellent - blue card,
Very good - red card,
Good - yellow card,
Sufficient - green card
Placings:
The four best dogs in each class are placed provided
that they have been awarded at least the qualification "Very
Good". Only dogs with "excellent" results can compete
for the class winner and reserve class winner titles.
Special titles:
Crufts-qualification for 2009 and 2010 Crufts Dog Show
in Birmingham can be obtained:
Dogs which gained European Youth Winner or European
Winner title at the European Dog Show 2008 will get
automatically the Crufts qualification, which gives them
the possibility to be able to enter to the World's
Greatest Dog Show, the Crufts 2009 and 2010 in
Birmingham.
European Youth Winner 2008
The title will be awarded to the Best Junior Dog and the
Best Junior Bitch in each FCI-recognised breed.
European Winner 2008
The title will be awarded to the CACIB-winner dog and
CACIB-winner bitch in each FCI-recognised breed.
Hungarian Junior Champion (HJCH)
Every dog and bitch automatically get the Hungarian
Junior Champion title if they achieved one HPJ (Hungarian
Prima Junior - Youth class winner) at the European Dog
Show 2008 and one HPJ at the Club Show organized during
the European Dog Show 2008 event.
Hungarian Champion (HCH)
Every dog and bitch automatically get the Hungarian
Champion title if they achieved one CAC (in intermediate,
open, working or champion class) on the European Dog
Show 2008 and one CAC at the Club Show organized during
the European Dog Show 2008 event.
For those breeds
which are obliged to have an FCI internationale working
certificate the proof of valid working document is
needed.
Hungarian Veteran Champion (HVCH)
Every dog and bitch automatically get the Hungarian
Veteran Champion title if they achieved one Veteran CAC
on the European Dog Show 2008 and one Veteran CAC on the
Club Show organized during the European Dog Show 2008
event.
Achievable Titles in the Best In Show Program:
Attention! If You would like to enter in the Junior
Handling competition or would like to take part in
Braces, Breeders Groups, Progeny Group categories during
the Best In Show program You should enter before the
deadlines as we will add these competitions to our
catalogue. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ENTER INTO THE BEST IN
SHOW PROGRAMS ON THE SPOT!
Junior Handler Competition:
During the three days of the show the junior handlers
will be able to compete in two age categories: from 10
to 13 and from 14 to 17. Every day the 4-4 best Juniors
will be chosen for the 'Winner of the Age Group' and
then for the 'Best Junior Handler of the Day' title. The
3 'Best Junior Handler of the Day' winners will compete
on Sunday in the final Best In Show Program to win the 'Best
Junior Handler of the European Dog Show' title. In order
to enter in the Junior Handler competition the entry
should be done before the deadlines.
Couples category:
This competition is open to one dog and one bitch of the
same breed and variety (coat type and size), owned by
the same person. Dogs entered in this class must have
been entered in their approp riate breed class at the
European Dog Show 2008. First, second, third and fourth
places will be awarded on the same day's Best In Show
Program as the individual judgements. In order to enter
in the Dog Couples competition the entry should be done
before the deadlines.
Breeders Group category:
This competition is open to a group of minimum 3 and
maximum 5 dogs of the same breed or breed variety (size
and/or coat type) all from the same kennel with the same
affix, sired by at least 2 different dogs or at least by
least 2 different dams. All the dogs in a group entered
in this class must have been entered in their
appropriate breed class at the European Dog Show 2008
and at least 2 of them have to get "excellent" and the
rest have to get at least "very good" results. First,
second, third and fourth places will be awarded. In
order to enter in the Breeders Group competition the
entry should be done before the deadlines.
Progeny Group category:
This competition is open to a team of minimum 3 and
maximum 5 dogs of the same breed or breed variety (size
and/or coat type) all sired by the same dog or from the
same dam. First, second, third and fourth places will be
awarded. In order to enter in the Group of Offsprings
competition the entry should be done before the
deadlines.
Best of Breed (BOB)
The European Winner dog and bitch, as well as the
winners of the junior and veteran classes are entitled
to compete for BOB.
Junior Best of Group Winner (Junior BOG)
The Junior BOG title will be awarded to the Best Junior
dogs or bitches from every individual FCI groups. The
four best dogs are placed 1st to 4th.
Best of Group Winner (BOG)
The best dogs or bitches are entitled to compete for BOG
title in every individual FCI groups. The four best dogs
are placed 1st to 4th.
Best Veteran
The best veteran in each individual breed can compete
for the Best Veteran title of the day. The four best
veterans are placed 1st to 4th.
Junior Best In Show (J-BIS) of the European Dog Show
2008
In the final Best In Show Program the 3 Junior Best of
Group awarded dogs can compete for the Junior Best In
Show title
Best In Show (BIS) of the European Dog Show 2008
All 10 group winners compete for the Best In Show title.
